Leiden – ProteoNic, the protein expression experts, has been awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2010 European Food Enzymes Technology Innovation Award. Frost & Sullivan recognised the company’s important contribution to cost and energy reductions in food enzyme manufacturing. It also praised its innovative technologies for enhancing production efficiency, providing the flexibility for researchers and companies to prospect nature and develop novel protein products and aid higher protein yields in a wide range of manufacturing processes.
In awarding ProteoNic, Frost & Sullivan benchmarked the Company’s performance against its key competitors in five areas – uniqueness of technology, the impact on new products/applications, the impact on functionality, relevance of innovation to industry and the impact on customer value. ProteoNic came out top in all five areas, with an exceptional score of 9 out of 10 for the uniqueness of its technology.
Frost & Sullivan had particular praise for the fact that the ProteoNic technology is able to increase yields from existing enzyme facilities, making it easy to implement and allowing enzyme manufacturers to withstand price pressures on their products with higher protein yields and lower manufacturing costs.
