Objective
ProteoNic has developed premium vector technology for production of therapeutic proteins in mammalian systems. This technology can also be applied to the field of cell and gene therapy.
Your R&D activities will be focused on the development of improved viral vectors for gene therapy applications.
As a Research Scientist you will be part of a dynamic team of scientists, with a focus on hands-on lab work. Daily activities include a wide range of molecular biology activities, biochemical analysis, cell culture work, and documentation. Your expertise and activities will contribute to the development of the next generation of genetic technology that will help solving performance bottlenecks in viral vector production platforms.
Responsibilities
DNA vector construction and production for internal and certified external use; characterization and quantitation of DNA, RNA, and protein; transfection and culturing of mammalian cells; documentation.
Profile
You have an MSc or PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field and 2-4 years experience in molecular biology research. The preferred candidate also has experience with cell or tissue culture and AAV or LV vector and virus production work.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in using standard molecular biology techniques
- Knowledge of commonly used analytical techniques
- Knowledge of viral vectors and experience with viral production systems
- Basic bioinformatic skills
- Sterile working
- Stress resistant

- Open and communicative personality
- Good English writing and speaking skills
- High standard of quality and accuracy
Position
Full time position starting in February 2023. Salary is dependent on education and experience.
